Vacancy for Head of Communications

We are looking for a Head of Communications who will strengthen communication with the Ukrainian audience and expand the organization’s communication beyond Ukraine.

We are Lviv Media Forum, a non-governmental organization focused on media, and for media. Since 2013, we have been working to make Ukrainian media viable – global, professional, ethical, and capable.

What you will receive by working with us:

  • The opportunity to improve Ukrainian media.
  • A team of proactive, goal-oriented, emotionally mature individuals who are united by a common purpose and values such as vision, openness, and people-centeredness.
  • Stability and confidence to the extent possible in times of war. We have been working since 2013, and since February 24, 2022, our team has continued to grow.
  • A hybrid work format: you will work in the office three days a week for team collaboration, and on other days, you can work remotely wherever it is convenient for you.
  • You will have two days off per week and 24 days of annual leave. We strive to avoid overtime, but if it does happen, we compensate with additional time off.
  • Regular informal team meetings (why not discuss the Recovery Plan for Ukraine or Seneca’s letters?).
  • We regularly work “in the field”, so business trips are possible.

Your main responsibilities will include:

  • Formulating and regularly updating the communication strategy.
  • “Sense management” in collaboration with the organization’s leaders and project managers.
  • Ensuring communication and synergy between the communication department and the rest of the team.
  • Managing and training the communication department.
  • Collaborating with the team to develop communication decisions and campaigns to promote the organization’s projects and products.
  • Analyzing the effectiveness of the organization’s communication efforts.
  • Managing the department’s budget.

What we expect from you:

  • Proficiency in English at the C1 level (this is a mandatory requirement).
  • The ability to make quick decisions and always stay three steps ahead, while maintaining a healthy perfectionism for details.
  • A warm network of contacts in the media and communications field, and a relentless dedication to networking.
  • The ability and passion for nurturing the team and surrounding yourself with high-level professionals.
  • Proficiency in communicating with international media and pitching your ideas to them.
  • Residing in Lviv or being willing to relocate.

Do you want to join our team? Please fill out the application form (which requires providing a link to your CV and writing a brief cover letter).

After reviewing the application, we will contact you and offer a test assignment that will take up to 2 hours of your time. Based on the results, we will be delighted to invite you for an interview.

We will contact all candidates, regardless of the outcome.
